A fantastic article in the Wall Street Journal about our storied neighborhood, the automotive titans that built it, and the residents who keep the neighborhood alive today. The article details how Palmer Woods sprung up as a park-like oasis in the middle of the City of Detroit, designed by landscape architect Ossian Cole Simonds, with curving streets, irregular lots, and expansive lawns. The article explains that today, the neighborhood is home to leaders in business and the arts, as well as doctors, lawyers and university professors and has managed to attract many newcomers from the suburbs. Featuring interviews with several of our neighbors and highlighting several of our better-known residences, the article is a must read!
